Breast Augmentation - TUBA - The Advantages

When breast enhancement procedures began in the 70's, they were somewhat crude. The dangers of them have been well chronicled. Over the years, the procedures have improved tremendously. The latest innovation in breast augmentation - TUBA, has several advantages over all others. TUBA, or transumbilical breast augmentation, puts the incision near the belly button and this offers many advantages.

1) Recovery time takes about half the time of other procedures.

2) Because the incision is not made in the breasts and/or the milk ducts, the chances of the patient acquiring a bacterial infection are greatly reduced.

3) The chances of there being problems with the production of breast milk during pregnancy are greatly reduced. Again, because the incision does not go through the milk ducts. It's important to note here that there still could be problems with milk production due to the pressure caused by the implants but these problems are very rare.

4) Scar treatments are rarely necessary. Other procedures require that you stay out of the sun for up to a year. This is not necessary with TUBA.

5) No chances of the incision stretching or tearing during recovery since it's made in the navel instead of the breast. The area is well protected and the incision is much smaller.

6) There's no chance of loss of nipple sensation since no nerves are cut like they are in other procedures.

When it comes to breast augmentation, TUBA offers many advantages that other procedures don't. There are, however, also some negatives that you should be aware of.
